Isabel Bar is the latest venture from Chilean nightlife guru Juan Santa Cruz. Not dissimilar, in design terms at least, from neighbouring Palermo nightspot Casa Cruz, it’s a striking space with gilt doors, a grand, room-dominating fireplace and a stylish, seventies-inspired interior. You’ll need to dress the part to get past the rather superior door staff, but it’ll be worth it. The bar serves some seriously good martinis and the atmosphere is hip and exclusive. Sip your drink in the white-walled, jasmine-scented courtyard before heading inside for a spot of deliciously grown up fruit punch or some delectable bar snacks. Drinks are paid for via special tokens not unlike casino chips and the whole place exudes a particular brand of seductive, after-hours glamour.
